I've been planning a trip to Alaska for several years. Checking maps and browsing ride reports. My packing list has been refined and I've been motocamping. In 2006 I traveled to Labrador so I've even been on a couple of long rides.
A week before leaving, I bought a new Canon 7MP digital camera so I can get better pictures.
I planned on riding the first part of the trip with a couple of local riders who are trying for their Ironbutt cert. So I'm leaving a little later than usual.
Also, the trip calls for stops to meet with David (mtrider16). Also stopping in to see my daughter in Portland.
While Alaska is the primary goal, I'd like to hit the Arctic Circle and maybe even Deadhorse.
I got the bike packed and ready to go. Unfortunately, while strapping gear down, the helmet dropped to the floor breaking the right side visor holder. Fortunately, Rita has the same helmet so I swapped the mechanical bit and put the visor back on.
