got up a t5am, no rain. bit foggy though. made it to bretton island, still foggy and chilly
made it to ferry at about 7:30. 56 bucks, go to front of row three
met guy who bought a buell s3 (?). flew to ottowa, drove it straight to ferry arriving at 5:30am. Has s1
and dn(?) suzuki dirt bike
got berth on ferry but was unnecessary. lots of seats. *doh* got sleep so it wasn't a total waste
foggy most of the way. about half way, several whales paced the ship.
got to newfoundland at 2:45 nf time
headed out - buell guy went to get gas and I stopped to grab a soda (and make sure my card worked on
the island)
cruising at 130kph (118 indicated on gps)
met him again in cornerbrook.
we rode together until deer park where he headed off to st johns and I headed to lomond.
got to park. about 30 minutes to get to campsite. including a dirt road.
loch lomand, very nice though. bunch of sm (black?) flies and a couple of mosquitoes along with a few full sized flies
bit windy but warm, 66 -> 80 on the trip up with a few bits of fog. doesn't look like rain though.
got bike prepped for quick ride off. 300 kilometers in 3.5 hours. should be able to do it depending
on traffic and moose.
still no moose though. buell guy saw a yearling before we got together.
